The internet can change a life in 24 hours. Viral internet sensation Emmanuel “Cujo” Valencia has officially signed his first professional boxing contract with the digital sports media and promotional powerhouse, Nothing But Sportz. [1]

After a widely circulated street altercation exploded online—generating more than 50 million views across social platforms—Valencia quickly went from an unheralded Houston talent to one of the most talked-about names in combat sports. Now, he transitions from the pavement to the canvas under the bright lights of professional boxing. [1]

The Story Behind the Signing

The viral footage showed the 140-pound fighter defending himself and using precise boxing fundamentals—including explosive uppercuts and hooks—to repeatedly drop a much larger opponent. While the confrontation was chaotic, Valencia later explained on social media that he actively tried to de-escalate the situation before things turned physical. [1]

Rather than letting the moment fade or lead down a destructive path, the executive team at Nothing But Sportz stepped in to offer structure and mentorship.

“Our goal isn’t to celebrate what happened. It’s to take a young man with undeniable ability and give him the structure, guidance, and platform to build a legitimate career inside the ring.”
— Ron Johnson, Head of Boxing at Nothing But Sportz [1]

The TRU Art Of Boxing delves into the captivating concept of Tao, an extraordinary philosophy that resonates with the very essence of existence. Tao, often described as “the way” or “the path,” embodies the natural order of the universe and serves as the profound principle underlying all aspects of life. Its essence lies in the pursuit of balance, harmony, and unity, encapsulating the boundless beauty of the world.

However, Tao extends far beyond mere philosophical contemplation; it intertwines with the art of boxing itself. The TRU art of boxing embraces the application of Tao, infusing the sport with its universal wisdom. By embracing the principles of Tao, boxers can unlock their true potential in the ring, achieving an unparalleled state of equilibrium and synchronicity. The integration of Tao empowers boxers to transcend the limitations of conventional techniques and strategies, propelling them towards unprecedented triumph.

Within the context of Tao, truth transcends the confines of absolute definitions and measurements. Instead, truth becomes a deeply personal and transformative experience, one that can only be realized through dedicated practice and profound understanding. As boxers immerse themselves in The TRU art of boxing and wholeheartedly embrace the principles of Tao, they embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery. Through this journey, they gain profound insights into themselves, their adversaries, and the sport of boxing as a whole. These revelations not only pave the way for triumph within the ring but also radiate into their lives beyond, fostering personal growth and fulfillment.

In essence, this book illuminates the awe-inspiring power of Tao and its profound connection to the art of boxing. It beckons boxers to embrace the universal way, the path that leads to balance, harmony, and unity. By doing so, they unlock a realm of infinite possibilities, where their true potential flourishes, and success becomes an inescapable destiny.
